Coalesce offers a number of options for intellectual property marketing. These range from outright sale of the intellectual property to technology co-development contracts with industrial partners.
IP Sale
One option for intellectual property development is outright sale of the IP to a third party.
IP Licensing
Another intellectual property option is the licensing of the concept/technology. This might involve a yearly license or a royalty agreement.
Co-Development
A third option for intellectual property is to seek out co-development partners to help commercialize the IP. This option is particulary attractive if the concept is not fully realized.
Steps include:
- Indentify key application areas where the IP can solve current problems
- Locate departments performing the key applications in target organizations
- Design a probe product based on input of scientists performing the key applications
- Locate and contact business development and new technology evaluation professionals in target organizations and divisions
- Hold meetings with technical and licensing personnel at the potential licensee's or collaborator's facility
- Assist with crafting sale/licensing/co-development contracts
